I originally posted a video about this show, but now I think the photo is better.  This will probably be the best Tigers Jaw show I’ll ever go to.  Ava House was awesome for shows.  Terribly smoky, but it was incredibly fun.  I believe The Sidekicks and American War played this show as well.  This was a few months before I grew obsessed with The Sidekicks and they became one of my favorite bands.
I will always remember thinking to myself how I planed to fall if the floor caved in.  By the end of this school year, the floor was a trampoline.

This goes down in my top 5 shows of all time. My brothers in The Ruining opened and played one of their last sets ever. It was also my first time seeing Tigers Jaw and The Sidekicks. I went from a casual listener of both bands to a major fan that night. I also picked up a Sam 7” that has become a favored piece to my collection. I can remember standing on a couch near the stairs with Andy, who now drums for Luther, as everyone went insane for tigers jaw. I’ll never forget the awful smell that filled that room at the end of the night.
“Ava are you trying to get high? I hope the floor holds this time…”

i am so excited by your post.  hearing that you became a major fan of tigers jaw and the sidekicks after this was my favorite part, i think, because this night affected a lot of my life; the sidekicks took over my life after this show.  ugh, i miss ava house so much.  i’m so happy to be in this picture because this is easily one of the best shows that i have ever attended.  i wish i had picked up a “Sam” 7”, but i never knew where any merch was being sold when i was at ava house.  i assume stuff was taken care of in the back, but i never ventured back there.  i usually sat and hung out on that seat you’re probably talking about; it was the backseat of a car placed against the wall.
this tigers jaw set was amazing.
