Friday, January 6th, 2012.  This was a really awesome night.  Okay, well, it started off kind of crappy because I got my new glasses and I had a change of heart.  I realized I didn’t like the way I looked at all.  The only good start to my day was that I went to go see Mason and Delaney.  Afterward, I went to Reedman Auto with my parents to look at cars.  We’re picking out a car to have ready when the Bonneville goes.  I’m certainly going to miss the Bonneville, because I have gone everywhere and have done everything in it, but I need a reliable car.  I was bummed because I didn’t feel like talking to annoying car salesmen.  While we were there we went through the Subaru showroom, and I actually found a car I liked.  This was entirely surprising to me because I don’t like any new cars at all.  I found that I really loved the Subaru.  At first we got into the 2012 Subaru Forester.  I think that’s all we looked at really.  We went over the the Jeeps just for fun.  They’re too much gas.  Well anyway, we left knowing that I was interested in Subaru.  When we got home, I ate something and then headed over to Joe Gallagher’s.  I picked up Trey and Alex in the city, and we had a nice drive to Kennet Square.  Dartagnan was playing with a bunch of other bands for the 2nd to last show on their tour.  Oyster Boy played, this band Letteropener played their first show and they ruled, and John Crodian played (Failed Attempts At Facial Hair).  Some other band played too that was really really good.  I think maybe another one did too.  I’m not sure.  I left my house pretty bummed out about everything.  I wasn’t feeling that all.  I was just stressed about car stuff and my glasses.  When I left my dad gave me a bag of cherries he had just gotten at Shop Rite, that was nice.  I ended up sharing a bunch of my cherries at Joe’s house with Maddie.  I talked to Maddie for a while.  While Joe was busy taking care of things, making sure he got to talk to everyone, I made sure Maddie had someone to talk to.  I sat on the basement stairs for a lot of the bands.  It was nice sitting up there because I could see everything.  It was a very very very nice night.  A lot of people were there, but it did not feel overwhelming at all.  I think Joe and Mimi’s is my favorite show house; it even had the coolest name, “Vlad’s Pad.”  Vlad is their little cute doggy.  During one of the sets, this Baltimore kid, Spork, dropped a bottle of whiskey on the basement floor and it went all over.  Later on, as Kit Ramsey’s girlfriend was trying to squeeze through me, Maddie, and I think Alex, a decorative plate on the wall fell on the kitchen floor and broke.  Everyone froze; Joe’s dad was in the kitchen.  Joe’s mom was like, “No.  It’s fine, that thing fell the other day too.”  I still felt bad.  I thought my big butt hit it, but everyone said it was a joined effort, and that Kit’s girlfriend’s backpack hit it or something.  I don’t know.  Later on, me, Will of Dartagnan, two other Baltimore kids, Maddie, Joe, and Miles went in the Dartagnan van to go to Wawa.  Wawa is like a 5 minute drive away.  The whole back row of seats were taken out, so Dartagnan could fit stuff back there for tour.  I sat on the floor in the back with Joe and a Baltimore kid.  We drove the whole way listening to the TV Dinner CD.  Joe’s old band with Trey and Mimi, and someone else I forget.  It was hilarious listening to it.  One of the songs is like, “Girls are good for nothing.  That’s just what they do.”  It was so funny hearing Joe sing shit about girls, and have Maddie sitting pistol and being like, “Whaaaaaaat?  Joe?”  We hung out at Wawa for a bit.  I got some Keebler chocolate bar jawns and sweet potato kettle cooked chips that Maddie recommended.  We ate our food at the gas pump as Will filled up the van with gas.  Oh yeah, Will’s last name is Hartlove.  Joe has known him since high school.  They are very close friends.  Joe told me, “Will is up there in my list of great people, with you and everything.”  Will is a great person.  Actually, when Trey, Alex, and I first got to Joe this night, Will was the first person I talked to when we walked up the driveway.  Apparently Will was a big into trouble in his past, along with his brother.  Will has been going to AA meetings and has been sober for a really long time now, is in school, and really straightened himself out.  Talking to him and being around him is absolutely wonderful.  I can see why Joe thinks very highly of him.  Anyway, Wawa hangs were fun.  We sang and danced at the gas pump, and then we left.  As soon as we left and crossed Route-1, we saw the van light up with red and blue lights.  We were just like, “FUCKKKKKKK!”  So, we pulled over in this parking lot and waited for the cops to walk up.  It was a Pennsylvania State Trooper.  Ughhhhh.  One cop walked up tot he driver window and the other to the passenger window.  I thought to myself, “Well, the whole back row of seats is gone.  He’s fucked.  He’s gonna get fined.”  The side of the van had “DARTAGNAN” spray painted on it.  I was like, “Shit.  This isn’t good!”  I mean there was nothing to get in trouble for.  The car was filled with snacks, and we were just driving 5 minutes to Joe’s.  They asked Will how many people were in the car, and he was like, “Uh. Too many.”  The cops just asked for our IDs, and then they just let us go.  When they asked Will if he knew why he got pulled over, he mentioned something about a left turn and the cop was like, “Yeah.  And both of your taillights are out.”  The van has three.  We were also in a van with Maryland plates.  Will also accidentally left his wallet in the case for his bass at Joe’s.  The cops were really cool though and just said we were fine.  Will offered them to follow us back to Joe’s so that they can see his license, but they didn’t care at all.  Will explained that they were a band on tour and were just playing at a house nearby.  It ended up being fine.  It was kind of a great way to end an exciting night.  It was just like, “Did that really happen?”  When the cops left, Will tried to say, “Thank you so much,” or something, but was really nervous and said something like, “Thanks you much so,” or something like that.  I was cracking up.  Will felt terrible.  He kept apologizing to me, but I said it was fine.  Nothing could have happened from the whole scenario.  We went back to the house and hung out some more.  Mimi was making pasta.  After a while we all went to sleep.  I think Mimi and I were the last two to go to bed.  I hung out with her has she straightened out the kitchen before bed.  I ended up watching this old video of Saves the Day on Vimeo from 1998 that I had never seen.  I slept in this one room with the kid who plays bass in Letteropener.  Vlad was in his cage too.  I was psyched to be in the same room as Vlad.  Vlad is the cutest dog.
